Effective Date: 24 January 2020

Winzer Corporation and its affiliates (collectively, “Winzer”) respect your privacy. This Cookie Notice (the “Notice”) sets out what you need to know about the cookies and other technologies (collectively “cookies”) that we use and why we use them. You should also read our Privacy Notice to find out what we do with the personal information we gather from (the “Site”).

Any changes to this Notice will be posted here.

What are cookies?

Our Site uses a cookie to function effectively. A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. Certain pages on this Site may also contain “web beacons” (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags, and clear GIFs). These are computer instructions that link web pages to particular web servers and their cookies.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies for legitimate business purposes such as customizing and enhancing our visitors’ visits to the Site, facilitating the use of the Site, collecting statistics about your visits to the Site, and understanding the manner in which our visitors browse the Site. We use clickstream data to understand how much time visitors spend on web pages of the Site, how visitors navigate through the Site, and how we may tailor the Site to meet the needs of our visitors.

We also use the information to help diagnose technical and service problems, identify trusted web traffic and potential security risks, and administer the Site. A number of our pages use cookies to remember your display preferences, such as contrast color settings, font size, or language; if you have already replied to surveys or interacted with content downloads so you won’t be asked again; or if you have agreed (or not) to our use of cookies on the Site.

We also use cookies to serve personalized content and interest-based advertising to our visitors.

If you do not accept the use of these cookies, please disable them before proceeding to use the Site.

What types of cookies does the Site use?

1) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential in order to allow you to move around the website safely and use all its features. For example, without these cookies, you would not be able to access secure areas of the Site. Winzer uses these cookies to enable the services on our Site that you have specifically requested and preserve your preferences across page requests. Essential cookies help us understand information, such as your session ID and other server authentication information. In addition, they help us understand whether you have viewed our cookie consent banner.

Generally, these cookies will only stay on your browser for the length of your browsing session and once you close your browser, the cookies will be deleted. This category of cookies should not be disabled. If you use your browser settings to block these strictly necessary cookies, we cannot guarantee your security or predict how our Site will perform during your visit.

2) Functionality Cookies

These cookies allow us to offer you a customized browsing experience. They capture information such as the pages you have browsed or products you have viewed so that we can provide you with a better experience. The information gathered by functionality cookies is de-identified and not linked to information about how visitors use other websites.

3) Analytics Cookies

We use first-party and third-party analytics. Analytics may use cookies to help compile reports, analyze how users use the Site, and improve our Site. These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, for instance, which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies you but generates statistical data about how visitors use our Site. Analytics Cookies collect information such as your, type of device, operating system, referring URLs, country information, date and time of page visits, pages visited, and your Internet Service Provider (ISP). We use Google Analytics. The service registers a unique ID that is used to generate statistical data on how the visitor uses the website. If you want to opt out of our use of Google Analytics, we recommend you install Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on here.

We also use our own analytics cookie that collects statistical data related to the user’s website visits. The purpose is to segment the website’s users according to factors such as demographics and geographical location.

4) Advertising Cookies

We may use advertising cookies to customize the content, such as catalogs and whitepapers, you receive on the Site, to determine your interest in our products, services, and solutions, to help measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and to conduct market research. These cookies remember what you have looked at on the Site (pages visited, content clicked on, terms searched for), and send information to a marketing platform. They track users across devices and marketing channels to determine, for example, if it is the users’ first visit to the Site. The information may be combined with other information acquired from third parties such as demographics and other marketing segment information to serve interest-based advertising.
